This is the Modular Rear Clamshell Kit for the Lotus Elise. Machined by Radium Engineering from CNC aluminum, this body panel kit dramatically simplifies removal and installation of the rear clamshell (engine cover), improving access to the engine bay. The factory steel body shims are taped to the rear subframe and upper rollbar mount, and repeated removal tends to reduce their adhesion and positional accuracy over time. This kit solves that problem with a billet aluminum decklid hinge brace and anodized aluminum shim pads/spacers that bolt on with stainless steel hardware.
