1. Shipping Methods and Carriers

We primarily use FedEx and USPS to ship orders. For large or special orders, we may use other trusted shipping partners to ensure safe delivery.

2. Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 2–5 business days (excluding weekends and Japanese holidays) after receiving payment confirmation.
  • You will receive an email notification once your order has been shipped, along with tracking information.
  • Some items are order-made products and may take approximately one month or more to be ready. This applies especially to large items such as body parts.

3. Shipping Destinations

  • Domestic Shipping (USA and Japan): We ship to addresses within the USA and Japan. Free shipping is available for select items stored in our USA and Japan warehouses.
  • International Orders: Customers outside the USA and Japan can place orders directly through our EC site if shipping is available to their region. If your country is not supported at checkout, please contact us at international@kurumaya-tokyo.co.jp and we will check if shipping can be arranged.
  • Shipping from Japan: Most items are shipped from Japan. Some items are stocked in both Japan and the USA and are only available for delivery to those respective countries.
  • Shipping from the USA: Depending on your location (such as Canada or Mexico), we may ship your order from our USA office to reduce delivery time and import costs.

4. Shipping Costs

  • Domestic Orders (USA and Japan): Free shipping is offered for eligible items stored in our USA and Japan warehouses.
  • International Orders: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order’s size, weight, and destination.
  • Combined shipping rates are available for international orders with multiple items. Please contact us at info@kurumaya-tokyo.co.jp for assistance.
  • Shipping fees may vary depending on the item's origin. Items shipped from Japan and the USA may follow different shipping policies and costs. Please refer to each product page or contact us if you're unsure.

5. Delivery Times

  • Domestic Shipping (USA): Standard shipping typically takes 5–10 business days after processing.
  • Shipping from Japan: Delivery times vary by destination. Estimated timelines are shown at checkout. Most orders arrive within 10–20 business days, excluding customs delays.
  • Made-to-Order Items: Please allow approximately one month or more for production and processing before shipping. We will notify you when your item is ready to ship.
  • Large or Special Orders: These may require additional time. We will inform you directly if timelines change.

6. Customs and Duties (For International Orders)

International customers (including those in the USA) are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees required by their country. Please check your country's import regulations before placing an order.

7. Order Tracking

You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped. You can track your package directly on the carrier’s website.

8. Shipping Restrictions

  • We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
  • Some oversized items or restricted regions may require custom arrangements. We will contact you if needed.

9. Free and Paid Shipping Options

  • Domestic Free Shipping: Free shipping is available for selected items in our USA and Japan warehouses.
  • International Paid Shipping: Shipping from Japan or USA may include calculated fees based on destination, item size, and weight.

10. Lost or Damaged Items

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages during transit. If such an issue arises, contact us and we will help you file a claim with the shipping carrier.

11. Returns and Exchanges

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. Please refer to our Return and Refund Policy for more details.
