Return and Refund Policy

1. Return Eligibility

We offer a 10-day return policy. You have 10 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition, with all original tags and packaging intact.
  • You may open the box to confirm the product, but please do not install, modify, test-fit, or use the item.
  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Important: If an item has been installed, test-fitted, modified, or used, it cannot be returned unless it is defective upon arrival.

Professional installation is strongly recommended for all performance and motorsports parts.

2. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at info@kurumaya-tokyo.co.jp. Once approved, we will provide detailed return instructions.

  • Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
  • Packing Guidance: Items must be securely packed to prevent damage during return shipping. Use sufficient cushioning materials and reuse the original packaging if undamaged.

3. Refund Policy

  • Refund Process: Refunds will be issued after we receive and inspect the returned item. We will notify you of approval or rejection. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method.
  • Currency Note: Refunds are processed in Japanese yen (JP¥). Due to exchange rate fluctuations, the refunded amount may differ slightly from the original amount paid.
  • Note: In some cases, we may refund in USD, but additional exchange fees or payment processing fees may apply.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Installed, test-fitted, modified, or used items (unless defective upon arrival).
  • Custom-made, made-to-order, special-order, or manufacturer-built products.
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or mishandling.
  • Items sold at a discount or marked as final sale.

5. Damages and Issues

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us at info@kurumaya-tokyo.co.jp.

  • Visible shipping damage must be reported within 3 days of delivery.
  • Concealed or internal damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
  • Please provide clear photos of the packaging, shipping label, and damaged product.
  • Claims made after these periods may not be accepted.

6. Return Shipping Fees

Customers are responsible for:

  • All return shipping costs.
  • Arranging a shipping company themselves or requesting our assistance (fees apply).
  • The original shipping fees for the initial delivery.

We will only cover return shipping costs if the return is due to our error (such as incorrect or defective items).

7. Exchanges

To exchange an item quickly, we recommend placing a new order for the desired item and initiating a return for the original item.

8. Import Duties, Taxes, and Customs Fees

Customers are responsible for any import duties, VAT, GST, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, or local taxes charged by their country.

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs charges or abandoned by the customer, any return shipping fees, customs penalties, and original shipping costs will be deducted from the refund.

9. Vehicle Compatibility and Fitment

Customers are responsible for confirming product compatibility and fitment before purchase.

Many motorsports and aftermarket parts may require professional installation, vehicle modifications, alignment adjustments, or additional components depending on the vehicle setup.

We are not responsible for incompatibility issues caused by vehicle modifications, regional specifications, or incorrect customer assumptions.

10. Order Cancellation

Orders may only be canceled before shipment or before production begins.

Special-order, made-to-order, and manufacturer-built items cannot be canceled once production or supplier processing has started.

Payment processing fees, currency exchange losses, and non-refundable supplier costs may be deducted from approved cancellations.

11. Refused Shipments

If a customer refuses delivery for reasons not caused by our error, the customer is responsible for all return shipping fees, customs charges, brokerage fees, and any related costs.

These costs will be deducted from the refund amount.
