Radium Engineering製ダイレクトマウント式フューエルパルスダンパー（FPD）です。インジェクターの開閉によって発生する燃料レール内の圧力脈動を内部ダイヤフラムが吸収し、燃圧の安定化をサポートします。

高流量インジェクター使用時のアイドルサージ、不安定なリーン空燃比スパイク、息つき症状の改善に役立つ場合があります。8AN ORBまたは3/8インチNPTのメスポートへ直接取り付けできます。

■ FPD-RとFPD-XRの選び方｜Choosing the Correct Damper

• FPD-R：ベース静的燃圧40～70psi
• FPD-XR：ベース静的燃圧40～105psi

ベース燃圧とは、燃料ポンプを作動させ、燃圧レギュレーターからバキュームラインを外した状態で測定する燃圧です。ベース燃圧が70psiを超えない場合、通常はFPD-Rで十分です。

燃圧がインマニ圧に応じて対応範囲より高く、または低く変動する場合は、1:1 燃圧・インマニ圧連動（バキューム／ブーストリファレンス対応）用のラインをFPDへ接続する必要があります。

■ 取り付け仕様｜Installation

• 8AN ORB仕様はFKM Oリングで密閉
• 3/8インチNPT仕様はテーパーネジで密閉
• 3/8インチNPT仕様は取り付け時に適切なネジシール剤が必要
• NPT仕様は締め付け時にバキュームポートの向きを調整可能
• 8AN ORBスイベル仕様は締め付け後も360度向き調整可能
• 上下逆を含む任意の角度で取り付け可能
• 周辺部品とのクリアランスを購入前に確認してください

■ 6AN ORBポートへ取り付ける場合
本体を6AN ORBメスポートに取り付ける場合は、8AN ORB仕様のFPD本体と変換アダプター（14-0600）をお選びください。

■ 重要な注意事項｜Important Warnings

• 機械式燃料ポンプには使用できません。
• 直噴システムおよび直噴用高圧燃料ポンプには使用できません。
• 機械式ポンプや直噴用高圧ポンプの強い圧力脈動は、FPD内部のダイヤフラムを短期間で破損させるおそれがあります。
• 14-0600は変換アダプターのみです。FPD本体は含まれません。
• 6AN ORBメスポートへFPDを取り付ける場合は、14-0600と8AN ORB仕様FPDを組み合わせてください。
• 燃料システムによっては、複数のFPDまたはリターンライン側への設置が必要になる場合があります。

■ Product Overview
Radium Engineering direct-mount fuel pulse dampers absorb pressure oscillations created by the opening and closing of fuel injectors. Their internal diaphragms help stabilize fuel pressure and may reduce idle surge, erratic lean air/fuel ratio spikes, and stumbling associated with fuel-pressure pulsations.

The dampers mount directly into compatible 8AN ORB or 3/8-inch NPT female ports.

• 14-0600 — 6AN ORB Male to 8AN ORB Female Adapter
  An anodized aluminum adapter for installing an 8AN ORB damper into a 6AN ORB female port. This option is the adapter only and does not include a damper.
• 20-0178 — FPD-R, 3/8-inch NPT
  Standard-range damper for a base fuel pressure of 40–70psi.
• 20-0179 — FPD-XR, 3/8-inch NPT
  Extra-range damper for a base fuel pressure of 40–105psi.
• 20-0776 — FPD-R, 8AN ORB, Swivel
  Standard-range damper for a base fuel pressure of 40–70psi. The body can swivel 360 degrees after installation.
• 20-0777 — FPD-XR, 8AN ORB, Swivel
  Extra-range damper for a base fuel pressure of 40–105psi. The body can swivel 360 degrees after installation.

■ Choosing the Correct Damper

• FPD-R: 40–70psi base static fuel pressure
• FPD-XR: 40–105psi base static fuel pressure

Base pressure is measured with the fuel pump running and the vacuum line disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator. If the base pressure does not exceed 70psi, there is usually no advantage to using the extra-range version.

If dynamic pressure rises above or falls below the damper’s operating range in response to manifold pressure, connect the vacuum/boost reference line to the damper.

■ Installation

• 8AN ORB versions seal with an FKM O-ring
• 3/8-inch NPT versions seal through their tapered pipe threads
• Appropriate thread sealant is required on the NPT versions
• NPT versions can be clocked while tightening
• 8AN ORB swivel versions can rotate 360 degrees after tightening
• Can be mounted at any angle, including upside down
• Confirm adequate clearance around the mounting port before purchasing

■ Important Warnings

• Do not use with mechanical fuel pumps.
• Do not use with direct-injection systems or direct-injection high-pressure pumps.
• The intense pressure pulses produced by these pumps can quickly rupture the internal diaphragm.
• 14-0600 is the adapter only. A fuel pulse damper is not included.
• To install a damper into a 6AN ORB female port, combine 14-0600 with an 8AN ORB damper.
• Some fuel systems may require multiple dampers or a damper installed in the return line.
