Lotus Exige用のリアクラムシェルシムキット（リアクラムシェル・シムキット）です。純正のスチール製ボディシムはテープでリアサブフレームおよびアッパーロールバーマウントに固定されているため、リアクラムシェルの脱着を繰り返すと接着力や位置精度が低下しやすいという課題がありました。Radium Engineeringはこの課題を解決するため、5052アルミニウム製プレートをレーザーカット加工し、ブラックアルマイト仕上げを施した軽量シムへの置き換えを提案しています。ボルト固定式のため恒久的に位置が安定し、着脱を繰り返しても精度が損なわれません。

This is the Rear Clamshell Shim Kit for the Lotus Exige. The factory steel body shims are taped to the rear subframe and upper rollbar mount, and repeated removal of the rear clamshell tends to degrade their adhesion and positional accuracy over time. Radium Engineering addresses this with laser-cut 5052 aluminum plate shims finished in black anodize, providing a permanently secured, lightweight alternative that holds its position accurately through repeated removal and installation.
