Product Overview

KEPLA developed these original rear door hinge cover panels for the Lotus Elise S2 and Exige S2.

From the factory, the Elise and Exige use different exterior styling in this area:

• Elise: ductless, narrowed / waisted design
• Exige: ducted, wider / protruding design

KEPLA's original version is based on the more aggressive Exige-style shape, with the duct area enlarged and reshaped to create a stronger side profile and more distinctive appearance.

The mounting and body shape in this area are compatible between the Elise S2 and Exige S2, so the same KEPLA door hinge cover set can be installed on either model.

This means Elise owners can convert to the more aggressive ducted Exige-style appearance, while Exige owners can replace the original panels with KEPLA's enlarged-duct design.

KEPLA Original Design

The standard Elise uses a clean, ductless and waisted body shape around the rear of the door, while the Exige uses a more pronounced, protruding design with an integrated duct.

KEPLA takes the Exige concept further by extending and enlarging the duct opening and reshaping the surrounding panel.

The result is a more aggressive rear-quarter profile while retaining a shape that integrates naturally with the Lotus body.

The product photos show the KEPLA panels installed on a Lotus Elise, confirming that the Exige-style KEPLA design can also be fitted to the Elise.

Vehicle Compatibility

Lotus Elise S2
Compatible. The KEPLA ducted panels can be installed in place of the Elise's original ductless, waisted-style panels.

Lotus Exige S2
Compatible. The KEPLA panels replace the original Exige-style panels with KEPLA's enlarged and reshaped duct design.

The panel shape and mounting arrangement are compatible between Elise S2 and Exige S2, allowing the same KEPLA product to be used on both models.

Installation & Finishing

These are replacement exterior body panels. Professional test fitting is recommended before final finishing or painting.

As with FRP and CFRP aftermarket body components, some normal preparation may be required depending on the individual vehicle, including test fitting, minor adjustment, surface preparation, and finishing.

The red panels shown in the installation photographs were professionally color-matched and painted before installation.

We recommend installation by a body shop or technician experienced with FRP/CFRP body components and Lotus vehicles.
